How old must my child be to enter the program?
The child must be 3 years old (and potty-trained) to start the program.
What is your registration fee?

Is the registration fee refundable?
If a parent wishes to withdraw a child from preschool, a 30 day notice is mandatory and enrollment fees must be paid for the month following the withdrawal date (for example, if the notice date is September 12th, enrollment fees must be paid for October). If the withdrawal date is after January 31st, the parents must pay for the entire school year.
- In the matter of the deposit cheque for the toy cleaning task, if the withdrawal date is before January 1st and the parent has not participated in a clean-up, the parent must pay $50. If the withdrawal date is after January 1st and the parent has not participated in a clean-up, the parent must pay $100.
- In the matter of the deposit cheque for volunteering, if the withdrawal date is before the end of the year, the parent must have had filled his/her volunteer hours or pay $30 for every month of the child’s enrollment.

What are your hours of operation?
9:00-3:00pm Monday to Friday. Please note we currently do not offer classes on Tuesday/Thursday pm at our ENM location.
To accomodate children attending the daycare Les Petits Géants at Terre des Jeunes, we offer a program extension at lunch and after school for a small daily fee.
What time slots are available at Capucine?
Please see the Timetable. Children may attend 2, 3, 4 or 5 days each week for either the morning or the afternoon sessions. 2 days = Tuesday/Thursday or Wednesday/Friday. 3 days= add Monday. 4 days = Tuesday- Friday. 5 days = Monday – Friday. As a preschool, children are not permitted to attend full day classes.
What is the expected role of the parents at Prematernelle Capucine?

I won’t be able to pick up child today, I’m arranging for someone else to pick him/her up. Do I need to send a note?
The parent must call or provide a note/email/text to the teacher before the designated person can leave with the child.
What kind of snacks can my child bring to Capucine?
Please read the Parents Manual.
We prefer water to juice boxes please and all grapes, cherries and cherry tomatoes must be cut in half lengthwise.
What if my child becomes ill?
When a child is ill (fever, cough, stomach/headache, runny nose, etc.), the educator will immediately notify the parents so that they can come and get the child. Until the parents arrive, the sick child will be isolated from the group under the constant care of an educator. If your child is not feeling well, please keep him/her/them at home. Thank you.

Does the Capucine accept donations?
The Capucine preschool accepts donations (equipment, materials, toys, other) in exchange for tax receipts.
